When I devoted myself to the practice of yoga, it took awhile to realize what I was truly doing. What I've learned along the way is yoga is my way of showing devotion to myself, my Inner Being, the God of my understanding using my physical body and intentions and to be able to offer that devotion off the mat.
It's never been a better time in your life to put down the resistance you have and open your heart and mind to the clarity and release you truly seek. Our lives are meant to surprise and delight us with every step! It is with this in mind I created Body Prayer Yoga, a way of making each step sacred by applying the tenets of a spiritual practice.
I'm offering a one of a kind yoga program that includes knowledge of the historical and philosophical limbs of yoga to bring you a balanced yet modern approach to the traditional sense of yoga. Yoga is not only a physical based practice and as an instructor, it is my heart's desire to inspire others to use yoga as holistic means to work towards harmony and peace within.
The program's modules work together to build a sustainable and approachable view to how you can live the practice of yoga off the mat. We live in a world that is fast paced and we struggle to keep up. This struggle, if left unchecked, can turn chronic and lead to everyday anxiety, panic, doubt, and other negative emotions that do not work well in your body.

Six Week BPY Program:
Module 1: Prepave the way to your practice - Body and mind awareness - Introduction to meditation
Module 2: Discussion and reflection of our relationship with others and ourselves - Releasing Distractions - Guided Meditation
Module 3: Introduction to our energy systems, pranayama (breathwork), and asana (poses) to move energy throughout the body - Guided meditation and movement practice focusing on the 3 lower energy centers
Module 4: Energizing 75 minute practice incorporating previous modules
Module 5: Living yoga off the mat discussion followed by a physical practice
Module 6: Physical Practice and Checkin-coming together as a supportive and supported community to move, reflect, and visualize for the continuous practice of our lives
*Each module will begin and end with a restorative savasana (resting pose) for grounding and anchoring.*
**This introductory program will be the prerequisite for advanced programs coming next year.**
